I was born and live in France. I have practiced batik on washi paper since the 1990s. For over thirty years, I have been a textile designer and author of art papers, and my studio is located in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany.
Since my childhood, I have been passionate about drawing and I graduated from the School of Decorative Arts of Strasbourg design department.
I have created hundreds of designs for the textile industry, more precisely for jacquard weaves, using my imagination, my sense of colour and design, with the constraints of making pattern drawing for furniture and decoration. At the end of my studies, I learned a high-end technique of Indonesian batik from a former textile worker, and I use this for my creations.
For about ten years, I have been presenting and selling my paper batiks as works of art as part of exhibitions. My paper art batiks are in private and public collections in Europe, Canada and Vietnam.
I work a lot with art bookbinders, for whom I create batik on unique washi paper with abstract patterns, also other artists who integrate my paper into their own works.
During workshops in Brittany, I present this batik technique on paper in Quintin, which is close to Saint-Brieuc.
